The Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club
The Lodge & Club is an oceanfront resort and private club built in 1989. The club has a mediterranean style which gives it characteristics of a European structure.

I started working at The Lodge & Club when I was 16 years old. I was a hostess on the outside patio restaurant The Oasis and the four-star dining room The Innlet . I currently do not work there because of being in Gainesville, but I thoroughly enjoyed my three years working there. The employees were outstanding, along with the management team. I am a member of this beach club and spend most of my free time there when I go back home. I think it is a great family atmosphere and a great place to hang out.

The history of the Lodge & Club dates back to 1940 when Tommy Sabin purchased 600 feet of oceanfront property along Ponte Vedra Boulevard. He built the present day Lodge & Club along this property, but the name at the time was The Innlet. The Innlet was under the control of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which is another branch of the resort about two miles away. In 1969 the Innlet was sold to the Land Corporation of America and remained vacant property for several years. In 1987 the property was bought by Fletcher Land Development Corporation and new planning began for the oceanfront resort. The name changed to The Lodge & Bath Club and the resort reopened in 1989. Then in 1997, the Ponte Vedra Corporation bought the property and changed the name once again to The Lodge & Club. Guests at the Lodge & Club can enjoy all the amenities at the resort, while also enjoying amenities at the other branch the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

The Lodge & Club is also well-known throughout the United States because it is a member of the very prestigious Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide . What this means is that The Lodge & Club is one of best hotels in the United States. It excels in hospitality by making sure the guests are satisfied during their stay. The beach club always puts its guests before everything else to ensure an unforgettable time.

The beach club consists of 66 rooms which are all oceanfront. There are two restaurants along with an upscale bar and lounge. There is a recently renovated gym across the street from the oceanfront property which offers a variety of fitness programs and day-care for children. Near the fitness center is a gift shop complete with all the essential tourist items. To view The Lodge & Club website click here
